There's a question that normally i ask of all my students at the beginning which is,who was the very first animal trainer that ever lived? and the answer is i do not know.But there had to be a first, But who taught him? Where the statement is leading to is that someone had to have a need or desire and definitely seen that there was was no one else to perform the duty that was needed to be done so it was left to them.So when you understand that it is you that is in the relationship with your animal and you start to treat it in that way.You understand how to live within the relationship then it's to you to understand the technique that it takes to take  care of a particular problem.learning the technique teaches you to solve that particular problem,understanding the concept helps teach you many techniques.
